“You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back, no manuscripts to store away, no paintings to show on walls… nothing but that single fleeting moment when you feel alive”.
Merce Cunningham
What is your dance story?
Do you dance?
Do you dance?
Are you dancing now?
As a painter leaves color on canvas, as a poet leaves ink on blank paper, dance transforms and settles into the skin of the world.
Bones are what remain. They are structure, memory, and continuity. They become pencils that draw on the ground, that sculpt the air.
After “Oceanhand” and “Earthing”, KiTVienna and Budapest present “traces”.
“Traces” is an ode to dance and to what it means for us. It invites the wisdom of our bones and the memory of our collective skeleton.
